Apam Orphanage began in the Northern Region, beginning with children who were with their grandparents in the witches’ camp. It was realized most of the children were not schooling. As an institution that believes in helping and lending a hand to the community, we saw the need to build a foster home to serve the community, and that’s how Apam Orphanage started. This is situated at Choo Kukoo in the Tamale District on Iris Street (NT-0416-4708) with a 9-unit classroom block built to serve the community. Apam Orphanage at Accra began with 4 children and now has a current population of 118. Internationally, we get volunteers to come and help during the summer holidays. They help create a good atmosphere with children and around the whole campus. Facilities are available to accommodate the volunteers who come there to serve
